Your new role

• Start-up tasks and operating plant and equipment
• Street lighting maintenance and installation and pole replacement and dressing pole
• Working at heights (overhead switching, overhead transformer replacement)
• Overhead switching, operating and maintaining/ replacing switchgear
• Fault-finding/ testing and inspections

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade Qualification as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Distribution Powerline Worker
• Sound knowledge of construction and maintenance practices for the underground and overhead distribution network
• Experience in installation, repair and maintenance of both overhead and underground substations
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Personal commitment to working safely and good knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures covering field operations
• Current MR driving licence
• Customer-centric approach
• HR and HC licence
• WorkCover Certificates: EWP, C2, DG & Forklift
• Traffic Control Certificates
• Switching capability
• Ability to use iPads and Microsoft Office
