Legal Secretary

Private Law Firm | Temporary 3-Months | Melbourne CBD | $35 - $40/hr
Your New Role and Organisation:
Join a boutique litigation law firm as a Legal Secretary. You will support a Senior Lawyer by managing a high volume of work. Your responsibilities will include transcribing dictations, managing digital dictation files, drafting and proofreading legal documents, organising files, handling communications, and assisting with court proceedings.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology: Familiarity with legal terms and processes is essential for this role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and typing speed: You will need to manage files meticulously and type at least 70 words per minute to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication is crucial for handling phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.
  • Ability to work under pressure: You must be able to handle a high volume of work efficiently and effectively.
