Your new role
As the technology contracting expert, you will work strategically and commercially with the internal business to shape new business offerings and provide legal advice relating to contracting with their clients. Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Setting up frameworks and templates for the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements
- Developing and escalation protocol
- Assisting with legal analysis and providing clear advice to management on commercial arrangements and legal obligations
- Working closely with the risk and compliance teams
- Providing focused and pragmatic solutions to address legal risks and business problems
What you'll need to succeed
Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia.
Ideally, a minimum of 12 years' PAE with experience gained at a reputable mid/top tier law firm or similar large corporation.
Experienced in commercial law with very strong technical knowledge and experience in technology law.
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an ability to build relationships and influence with impact.
You have the ability to identify and consider critical issues, assess and articulate legal risks, so the business can make informed, risk-based commercial decisions.
