Legal Counsel (Employment)

Your new role

You will work within a high performing team while providing practical legal advice and risk-based solutions to internal clients on a wide range of employment law and people-related matters. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:


  • Provide trusted and sensible advice on employee relations and conduct related matters and investigations
  • Provide oral and written legal advice to stakeholders on a range of employment and people related matters, projects and policies, investigations and disputes.
  • Draft employment related documents
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes
  • Report to internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

What you'll need to succeed

  • Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia

  • Ideally, a minimum of 6 years' PAE, with experience gained in a reputable mid/top tier firm or similar large corporation

  • Experience in advising on a broad range of employment law across contentious and non-contentious matters. Work health and safety law experience would be beneficial.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
