Your new role
In this dynamic and detail‑focused position, you will provide administrative, secretarial, and operational support to a specialist legal branch. You will be relied upon to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of the team, assisting with both legal and general business operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high‑level secretarial and administrative support in a legal practice environment
- Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel, vehicles, and accommodation for regional visits
- Delivering excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external visitors, both face‑to‑face and over the phone
- Assisting with HR, finance, budget, IT and practice management tasks
- Preparing legal and business documentation including correspondence, court papers, agendas, reports, minutes, briefing materials and presentations
- Assisting with subpoena preparation and ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Maintaining and updating case management, filing, records, reporting, and legal databases
- Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and supporting the development of streamlined procedures
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting a legal team, law firm, or legal practice area (highly desirable)
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Exceptional written communication and document preparation capability
- Confidence working with case management or document management systems
- High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering quality service
