Your new role

We are looking for a suitable qualified candidate for a 12-month temp assignment as a Lead Data Analyst with skills in Data Governance and Mastery, ICT Transformation, Data Analysis and Project Management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Candidates should have full working rights in Australia (No sponsorship available).- Please do not apply if you do not have full working rights.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 days per week on site, as agreed with the Hiring Manager.
  • Extensive Lead/Senior Data Analyst experience working on data projects that involve complex datasets from multiple systems and data mastery.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data integration and data profiling concepts, including the ability to analyse and interpret data structures
  • Experience analysing source system data to understand how the data is structured, including key attributes, reference data and associated metadata
  • Proven experience with developing rulesets for ingestion and processing of data to create unique records, including rulesets for matching and merging of records from disparate source systems.
  • Understanding of the data lifecycle, including how data is created, updated and deleted and how it should be mapped to target data models.
    • Demonstrated experience drafting comprehensive, high-quality documentation, including but not limited to:
      • source to target mapping
        • data cleansing and transformation rulesets
        • record matching and merging rulesets
        • data models
        • Project and risk management plans and reports.
  • Proficient ability in using SQL to analyse data and data structures.
  • Understanding of and experience with modern databases and technologies, such as SQL Server, Databricks, Azure DevOps, PowerBI, etc.
  • Knowledge of a range of data analysis techniques that can be used to interrogate and understand the data, including the attributes, reference data and the associated metadata.
  • Commercially sound with strong communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of how data is used as part of the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process.
  • Highly developed skills in communicating, leading, influencing, collaborating, and negotiating to successfully implement digital transformations while maintaining stakeholder expectations.
  • A detailed understanding of leading and producing documentation that supports effective solution design and ongoing system operational activities for data-focused digital solutions and the ability to apply specialist technical skills and knowledge into the process.
  • Communicates orally and in writing in a manner that is clear, fluent and holds the audience’s attention, and prepares and delivers logical, sequential and succinct presentations.
  • Highly developed time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously while setting clearly defined objectives and priorities, reviewing and adjusting as required.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and the ability to participate in key ceremonies.
