HAYS is partnering with a council in Melbourne’s northern suburbs to recruit motivated and safety‑focused operators to join their Dumped Rubbish Removal Team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cleaner, safer public spaces while working within a supportive frontline environment.

Your new role

In this role, you will work as part of a two‑person crew responsible for the removal of illegally dumped waste across public areas. You will operate tipper trucks, respond to job requests, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
The role will include the following duties:
  • Operating council tipper trucks (MR licence required)
  • Collecting and removing dumped rubbish from public spaces
  • Using mobile devices, mapping tools and job request systems
  • Following all OH&S policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • Working collaboratively within a frontline operations team
  • Performing manual handling tasks and maintaining a high standard of safety

What you'll need to succeed

  • MR license with demonstrated experience driving tipper trucks
  • Strong manual handling capability and physical fitness
  • Ability to use mobile technology for job allocation and navigation
  • Proven commitment to OH&S and safe work practices
  • Experience working in a frontline or field‑based team environment
  • Pass a Police Check
