My client is an international banking and financial services firm. They are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their CBD office on a permanent basis. This opportunity is perfect for somebody with 1-2 years of experience, who is eager to grow their career in the financial sector.

Your new role

• Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions; Reconciliations.

• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting policies and processes, including preparation of journal entries on a daily and monthly basis.

• Assist with the preparation of Year End Accounts and Financial Statements for local subsidiaries

• Assist in the preparation of GST (BAS) returns and Income Activity Statement (IAS) returns to tax office.
• Assist with year-end external audit and respond to auditors queries;
• Maintain Tax Fixed Asset Register and reconciliation of Tax vs Accounting at year end.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Good interpersonal & communications skills
• Good understanding of basic accounting concepts and billing/payment processes
• Good PC skills, including Excel, Word.
