Hays has partnered with a state government entity to appoint a Java Systems Administrator to an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.

Your new role

As a Middleware and Application Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration and support of enterprise-grade platforms including
IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, and MuleSoft. You will provide both operational and project-based support across critical production and non-production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of middleware services.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need strong experience of installing, upgrading, and managing IT systems and services, particularly with J2EE application servers such as WebSphere and WebLogic, and Linux operating systems like SUSE and Red Hat. A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle is essential, along with the ability to support the deployment and release of JavaEE applications across development, testing, and production environments.
