We’re partnering with a well‑established mining operation in Queensland that is seeking an IT Field Technician to provide on‑site and remote support across a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment. This is a hands-on IT role where you’ll be the face of IT on site, supporting end users, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring systems run smoothly and securely.

Your new role

As the IT Technician, you’ll deliver day‑to‑day technical support across desktop, server, network and mobile environments. You’ll manage incidents, requests and changes, administer O365 accounts, support collaboration tools, and complete periodic site visits and reporting. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with operational teams.

What you'll need to succeed

• Provide on-site and remote Level 2/3 support across desktops, servers, networks and mobile devices
• Manage incidents, service requests, changes and problem investigations
• Support Microsoft applications, Windows OS, client/server apps and site‑specific operational software
• Administer and maintain the Windows Server environment
• Support iOS & Android devices and in‑house mobile applications
• Maintain MS Teams video conferencing and Mitel telephony
• Use SCCM/System Centre and scripting tools to manage internal systems
• Complete preliminary cybersecurity assessments and maintain malware protection
• Administer Office 365 user accounts
• Maintain IT asset registers, documentation and periodic site visit reports
• Contribute to IT policies, process improvements and the internal Wiki
• Participate in the on‑call roster for after‑hours support
