Your new role
As Inventory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management and control of inventory across the business. You will be responsible for stock ordering, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring accuracy and visibility throughout the supply chain.
Working closely with the Logistics Manager and cross‑functional teams including Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Service, you will support the importation, warehousing, and dispatch of the company’s world‑renowned LED screens and film and entertainment lighting products.
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with the national sales team to develop accurate inventory forecasts and support purchasing decisions
- Proactively prevent over‑stocking and stock shortages through effective planning
- Work closely with logistics and purchasing teams to build strong supplier relationships and ensure timely procurement
- Collaborate with Warehouse and Service teams to maintain product availability
- Manage product costing and ensure accurate data entry into Oracle NetSuite
- Monitor and maintain stock levels across multiple Australian warehouses
- Prepare inventory reports including turnover, performance, costing, and price lists
- Review, maintain, and continuously improve inventory management processes
- Create and maintain product listings within the NetSuite ERP system
- Monitor and report on freight forwarder performance
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operational outcomes
- Oversee annual stocktakes and cyclical counts across all warehouse locations
- Ensure accurate and reliable inventory reporting at all times
- Assist with ad‑hoc inventory and stock‑related tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Inventory Manager, Stock Controller or similar
- Proven experience managing inventory in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong experience with inventory management systems, with Oracle NetSuite experience essential
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, forecasting and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
