Job Title: Inventory Controller / Inventory Manager Location: North Wollongong, 38 hours per week to start, Full-Time role.
About Us: We are a leading seafood processing company known for our commitment to quality and food safety. We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Controller/Manager to join our dynamic team and help drive operational excellence in our cool room and freezer environments.
Role Purpose: In this role, you will oversee the accurate management of inventory, ensuring efficient processes within our cool room/freezer environment while strictly adhering to HACCP and food handling guidelines. You will also support the design, scope, and implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, scope, and implementation of a new WMS
- Manage import & export container logistics and oversee the unloading of incoming goods
- Perform accurate monthly stocktakes, maintaining comprehensive inventory control and reporting
- Maintain data integrity in our ERP system and manage the receipting of stock
- Liaise with delivery drivers and staff, and maintain a detailed receivables register
- Oversee cold storage operations in our chiller and freezer environments
- Operate a forklift (must have a valid licence)
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries professionally
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager/Controller in a warehouse cool room/freezer environment
- Strong understanding of the foodservice industry and strict adherence to HACCP & food handling standards
- Proficiency with computers and ERP systems
- Valid forklift licence
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in temperatures ranging from 0°C to -30°C
- A proactive approach and strong organisational skills
