The Fraud and Integrity Division investigates and addresses fraud against the agency, including serious and organised criminal cases in collaboration with partner agencies. It manages tip-offs, gathers intelligence, and develops risk profiles through detection analytics. Targeted responses are deployed to tackle integrity vulnerabilities, with fraud investigations potentially leading to prosecutions for severe cases.
Your new role
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Fraud Assessments: Gather and analyse intelligence to produce reports for decision-makers.
- Intelligence Projects: Develop collection plans, analyse financial and other data, and present findings.
- Intelligence Products: Create intelligence reports within set timeframes, complying with regulations and security frameworks.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate files and records to support reporting requirements.
- Ongoing Intelligence Support: Provide analytical insights and collaborate with investigative teams.
- Data & Analytics Tools: Utilise software and databases to interpret and analyse collected data.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in business processes, propose new methodologies, and implement refinements.
- Emerging Intelligence Risks: Monitor trends, conduct risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Operational Adaptability: Support various functions and adapt to shifting organisational priorities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience interpreting and applying policy and legislation
- Experience producing intelligence reports on complex matters from the collection, evaluation, and analysis of information for the purpose of informing decision makers.
- Developing collection plans, assigning tasks, analysing financial and other information, and articulating findings.
- Experience using Analytical Tools and Databases such as i2 iBase, i2 Analyst Notebook, SAS and Excel
- Certificate IV in Intelligence Operations or equivalent is highly desirable.
