Your new role

• Elicit, analyse and document integration requirements from healthcare service teams, clinical informatics staff and internal technology stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality integration artefacts including:
  • Integration and interface specifications
  • Data mapping documentation
  • Business rules and process flows
• Conduct gap analysis between existing healthcare systems and central platform requirements
• Collaborate with developers and solution architects to ensure requirements are feasible, clearly understood and build‑ready
• Maintain backlog health across integration workstreams, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are complete and ready for development
• Support the development of test scenarios and UAT scripts, coordinating validation activities with healthcare service teams
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with technical, clinical and operational stakeholders
• Maintain system documentation including interface inventories, operational guides and process maps
• Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies arising from requirements analysis and onboarding activities.
• Support change and onboarding activities by developing clear guidance and communications for healthcare services during transition and go‑live
• Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements, documentation standards and delivery practices across the program

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst on healthcare IT, integration or data exchange programs
• Proven ability to bridge clinical and technical domains, translating healthcare workflows and requirements into technical integration documentation
• Strong experience producing integration artefacts such as interface specifications, data mappings and process flows
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across technical, clinical and operational audiences
• Prior experience working within Victorian public health, healthcare networks or state‑level government environments

• Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2, CDA or FHIR
• Familiarity with EMR, PAS or other clinical information systems used in Victorian healthcare settings
• CBAP or equivalent business analysis certification
• Experience supporting healthcare service onboarding, system integration, data migration or statewide platform programs
• Awareness of healthcare data governance and regulatory requirements relevant to Australian health environments
