Your new role
As an Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training materials in various formats, including workshops, online learning modules, Quick Reference Guides, and educational videos. Reporting to the Change & Learning Manager, you will support the management and monitoring of the learning program, ensuring the successful implementation of new system functionalities. You will work closely with change management, communications, technical, and project management teams to execute and communicate the training strategy effectively. This role involves interacting with a diverse stakeholder group of over 5000 individuals, including C-suite executives, employees, and administrative staff. Some intrastate travel may be required.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant experience in a similar role with demonstrated results in an enterprise environment
Strong understanding of educational theories and instructional design principles
Experience conducting learning needs assessments and evaluations
Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS)
Demonstrated ability to design and develop curriculum and instructional materials
Attention to detail and commitment to quality, strong organisational and time management skills
High-level effective communication skills (oral presentation, written, information presentation) to engage with a wide variety of internal and external professionals at all organisational levels
Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges
Tertiary degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field, or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Desirable
Experience executing Training and/or Communications Strategies in large and complex cross-functional projects
Demonstrated effectiveness in a role which interacts with all levels of stakeholders
Ability to work in partnership with Information Services to develop and implement sustainable learning management systems
Previous experience as a learning specialist in a complex transformational initiative
Tertiary degree in an information systems-related discipline or equivalent information technology experience
Qualifications in e-Learning tools and associated methodologies
