Information Management Advisor

A well known State Gov organisation is looking for an experienced Information Manager to join their team.

Your new role

The new role focuses on improving how information is managed across the organisation. It involves identifying and cleaning up outdated or incorrect data, helping teams follow proper storage and disposal practices, and making sure everything aligns with official standards. You'll work with specialised software, support internal communications, and provide expert advice on how information should be handled. Collaboration with different teams and clear reporting on progress and risks are also key parts of the job.

What you'll need to succeed

Knowledge & Expertise
  • Information Management Standards: Strong understanding of data governance, especially around retention, disposal, and compliance with regulatory frameworks like PROV.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using tools like Castlepoint or similar platforms to identify, track, and remediate data issues.
  • Project Coordination: Ability to manage timelines, follow up with stakeholders, and keep remediation activities on track.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in working with different teams, answering queries, and guiding them through remediation processes.
  • Clear Documentation: Skilled at creating guidelines, intranet content, and process documents that are easy to follow and consistent.
  • Cross-Team Communication: Comfortable liaising with vendors, communications teams, and technical groups to ensure smooth operations.
