Your new role
A leading utilities organisation is seeking an Implementation Analyst to support the successful delivery and embedding of initiatives within a critical operational transformation program focused on optimising water outcomes and reducing inefficiencies.
This role exists to bridge the gap between solution delivery and operational execution, ensuring that new assets, systems, and ways of working are fully adopted, transitioned into business‑as‑usual (BAU), and delivering sustained value.
The Implementation Analyst will work alongside delivery teams and operational stakeholders to ensure operational readiness, ownership, capability uplift, transition planning and benefits realisation are embedded into delivery—not treated as an afterthought.
Key Responsibilities
The Implementation Analyst will be accountable for:
Impact & Transition Analysis
- Conducting detailed impact assessments across:
- Processes and workflows
- Systems and tools
- Roles and responsibilities
- Capability and support models
- Operational benefits
- Translating identified impacts into practical, delivery‑embedded implementation activities
- Analysing current‑state and future‑state processes to inform readiness, transition and ownership models
BAU Transition & Ownership
- Defining and coordinating clear, fit‑for‑purpose transition approaches from project delivery into BAU
- Ensuring post‑implementation ownership, accountabilities, support arrangements and capability requirements are clearly established and agreed
Stakeholder Engagement
- Working closely with operational stakeholders, SMEs and delivery teams to validate impacts and co‑design implementation and transition approaches.
- Building strong, trust‑based relationships and influencing outcomes without direct authority
What you'll need to succeed
Technical Requirements
- Practical understanding of project delivery, business analysis and change management within complex delivery environments
- Experience working with recognised delivery and change frameworks (e.g. waterfall, agile or hybrid delivery, BABOK, Prosci or equivalent) and applying them pragmatically
- Strong understanding of how operational readiness, adoption and transition are embedded within capital or large‑scale delivery initiatives
- Ability to operate within structured delivery frameworks while adapting to evolving program needs
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience applying change, business analysis or delivery frameworks in real‑world implementation contexts
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to assess impacts and define practical solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to influence and collaborate across technical, delivery and operational domains
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and managing competing priorities
- Resilient, adaptable, and outcomes‑focused on complex environments.
