ICT Operations Manager

Your new role

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Support, Azure and M365/SharePoint streams, ensuring the availability and reliability of systems and networks, managing technology vendors, and implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. This role ensures that networks, systems and ICT services are aligned with business objectives ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.

In this role you will,
  • Lead, supervise and oversee the daily operations of the ICT Operations Team to foster a high-performance culture, provide accurate advice, building operational capability within the team and facilitate accountability and continuous improvement; and is responsible for the ongoing training, coaching and professional development of staff within the team.
  • Maintain all aspects of technical infrastructure including PaaS/SaSS, Hardware (including telephony) and Software/Applications.
  • Online systems, data support and reporting - use data driven insights to provide the business with information to support key decision-making.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and processes to improve ICT operations and increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Managing technology vendors and service providers to ensure that the technology needs are met.
  • Evaluating and implementing new technologies and systems that improve ICT infrastructure to support the department’s strategic direction.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Results-driven approach with ability to roll-sleeves-up and demonstrate practical hands-on leadership and delivery of change based on the ability to manage time and prioritise project activities.
  • Significant experience in a senior ICT function and experience managing a high performing team.
  • Experience in maintaining all aspects of technical infrastructure including PaaS/SaSS, Hardware (including telephony) and Software/Applications.
  • Proven ability to analyse the needs of an organisation to identify appropriate solutions, provide advice to senior stakeholders on ICT issues, build business cases, manage risk, consult with stakeholders and develop and implement policy and strategic plans.
  • Proven leadership experience in mentoring, motivating and managing a team of ICT professionals
  • Flexibility and ability to manage competing priorities/projects using strong time management skills to deliver outcomes in an effective and efficient manner, in a busy and dynamic working environment.
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Networks and systems, Microsoft SharePoint, M365 and ITIL.
