Your New Role
As a HVAC Service Technician (Day Shift and leave cover), you will report to the Facility Manager and be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance and operation of a live data centre site.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Performing planned preventative maintenance on HVAC plant and equipment
Maintaining and supporting HV and LV electrical systems
Providing leave cover to ensure continuity of site operations
Monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) and responding to alarms
Diagnosing and resolving air‑conditioning and refrigeration faults
Conducting routine plant and building inspections
Reading and recording critical utility metering (UPS, PDUs, etc.)
Fault-finding and executing corrective maintenance
Completing accurate maintenance and incident reports
Ensuring all works comply with safety, regulatory, and industry standards
Building strong working relationships with site stakeholders and internal teams
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Valid ARCtick Licence
Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (minimum)
3–5 years’ experience in air conditioning and refrigeration
Working knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems
Australian Citizenship (required for NV1 security clearance eligibility)
Valid Driver’s Licence
The following will be highly regarded:
Experience in data centres or other mission‑critical environments
Familiarity with BMS and CMMS platforms
White Card and OH&S certifications
Additional technical training or industry certifications
