Our client is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join their team on a short-term temporary contract until the end of July 2026.

Your new role

• Provide strategic HR advice and consultancy to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance, change, and conduct matters.

• Manage redeployment and redundancy processes in line with legislation, policy and procedural requirements.

• Deliver employee and industrial relations advice, including complex award and agreement interpretation.

• Develop, implement and review HR policies, frameworks and guidelines.

• Prepare high-quality briefings and responses on workforce, public sector standards and industrial relations matters.

• Lead or support HR and workforce initiatives, including organisational development projects and investigations.

• Analyse and report on workforce data to inform planning, decision‑making and continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven ability to deliver professional advice and support across a broad range of functional or operational areas, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.

• Demonstrated capacity to interpret relevant policies, legislation, agreements, or guidelines and provide accurate, timely, and well‑reasoned advice to management and staff.

• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the capacity to influence, negotiate, and present information in a professional and tailored manner.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to research, analyse, and interpret information, identify issues and risks, and apply innovative or practical solutions to complex problems.

• Government experience is preferred.
