HR Business Partner

A HRBP role working for a construction company, based in Macquarie Park, salary up to $135k base

Your new company

You will be working for a globally recognised construction and infrastructure group, known for delivering complex engineering projects across Australia and beyond. Their head office is based in Macquarie Park, with operational sites located nationwide.


Your new role

As the HR Business Partner, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things people-related across operational teams. You’ll work closely with site managers, engineers, and senior leaders to drive HR initiatives, manage employee relations, and support workforce planning across multiple states.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with operational leaders to manage employee relations, performance, and compliance
  • Lead and advise on restructures, redundancies, and change management
  • Ensure compliance with EBAs and Australian employment legislation
  • Support training, development, and workforce planning
  • Oversee the HRIS integration
  • Manage visa processes and international mobility
  • Travel interstate twice a month to build strong site relationships
  • Act as a trusted advisor across all levels of the business

What you'll need to succeed

Your experience in a similar role within Australia, particularly in a blue-collar or construction-related industry, will be key to your success. You will also bring:

  • Resilience and confidence to work with diverse teams in a construction setting
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, EBAs, and IR/ER practices
  • Experience with restructures, redundancies, and change processes
  • Very solid experience using HRIS
  • A proactive, energetic personality with excellent communication skills
  • A desire to grow, learn, and take ownership of your role
  • Reliability and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Willingness to travel interstate regularly (2x/month)
  • Full-time and unrestricted Australian working rights (essential)
