Our client is a large local council based in Darwin.
I'm seeking an experienced HR Advisor (Talent Acquisition) to drive contemporary, capability based hiring and provide trusted HR support across a diverse organisation. This is a 3-month temporary position.
Your new role
In this role, your main responsibilities will be
- Deliver end‑to‑end recruitment across all business areas.
- Advise and coach hiring managers on best practice recruitment and selection.
- Manage advertising, screening, interviews, compliance checks and onboarding.
- Maintain recruitment systems, data integrity and reporting.
- Review and prepare employment contracts and HR documentation.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Support continuous improvement across recruitment, workforce planning and HR processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- HR qualification
- 3+ years HR experience including specialist talent acquisition (Level 6).
- Strong knowledge of HR legislation, recruitment best practice and contemporary sourcing methodologies.
- Highly organised, collaborative, tech‑savvy and a confident communicator.
- Able to build relationships, influence, and deliver outcomes in a fast paced environment.
- Police check and driver's licence required.
