HAYS has partnered with a growing auto-shop which specialises in repairs, servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles. They have the capacity to onboard the next Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for their Wacol location.
Your new role
As a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Replace or repair faulty parts and components
What you'll need to succeed
- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
- Proven experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence (heavy vehicle licence preferred)
