Your new role
This individual will report to the Manager Development and Building Surveyors and will offer a range of project exposure across a strong and consistent team.
Provide technical health & building expertise to the manager and other staff on public health and building-related matters.
Coordinate and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including food safety, on-site waste disposal, and other public health regulations.
Ensure Council fulfils its obligations under the Environmental Planning and Assessment (EPA) Act in relation to building control and regulatory functions.
Actively promote and embody the core values and expected behaviours outlined in Council’s Workplace Environment Statement, contributing to a positive, respectful, and collaborative work culture.
What you'll need to succeed
Suitable Qualifications in Building Surveying or equivalent.
A2/A3 Accreditation.
A thorough working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia, Environmental Planning & Assessment Amendment Act, 1979, Local Government Act, 1993 and relevant subordinate legislation.
