Your new role
The Head of Projects responsibilities will lead and manage the delivery of our Project Management Services to our clients. This role will embrace our team approach to delivery, and provide support and guidance to our Senior Project Managers and supporting teams. To support the growth of the Project Services business, the Head of Projects will work with the Commercial Manager, Operations Director and the General Manager in providing the delivery model for our client’s project and programme management needs.
Strengthen stakeholder and client relationships.
Encourage repeat work through exceptional business relationships.
Manage client and staff expectations, maintaining an environment that is outcomes focused and encourages open communication.
Provide commercial input, delivery expertise and constructibility advice.
Develop and implement new project procedures, guidelines and reporting templates.
Lead and motivate the delivery team to produce professionalism, accuracy and urgency.
Review and management of financial, operating budgets and forecasts.
Contribute and provide feedback on processes to improve data and information flow.
Represent the Project Board as the Senior Supplier
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications – projects, design / construction, management or similar. Current drivers’ licence
Strong understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and revenue drivers.
Ability to manage utilisation, margin performance and commercial risk across a portfolio.
Working knowledge of contracts, procurement processes and fee structures.
Proven ability to lead delivery teams across multiple projects, ensuring effective planning, prioritisation and execution.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, governance and risk management frameworks.
Ability to drive consistency, discipline and performance across project delivery.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and influence key stakeholders.
Confident communicator, capable of managing expectations, resolving issues and driving outcomes.
Experience working with government or complex client environments is desirable.
