Your new role
Step into a high-impact leadership position where you’ll drive the full lifecycle of residential solar-and-battery installations—from site readiness to final handover. You’ll lead skilled teams and trusted subcontractors, enforce top-tier safety and compliance standards, and ensure every install is delivered on time, to spec, and with audit-ready documentation. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction, this role offers the chance to shape operations in a fast-growing clean energy business.
Lead end-to-end field operations: from site readiness through installation, commissioning, grid connection, and final handover
Champion safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to WHS protocols and relevant electrical standards and regulations
Oversee accurate and timely completion of compliance documentation, including test records and safety certificates
Manage scheduling, workforce planning, and daily run sheets across internal teams and subcontractors
Coordinate inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships to meet delivery targets
Ensure data accuracy across CRM and job management platforms
Recruit, train, and lead electricians, apprentices, and support staff; conduct toolbox talks and field audits
Set clear expectations and performance standards for subcontractors, including scopes, SLAs, and safety requirements
Resolve technical escalations and provide Tier-2 support to customer service teams
Collaborate with engineering and tech teams to ensure installations are ready for virtual power plant integration
Drive continuous improvement across install cycle time, first-time pass rates, rework reduction, and cost efficiency
What you'll need to succeedQualified Electrical Engineer or Licensed Electrician with proven leadership experience
Strong background in field operations—ideally in solar, battery, energy, or similar service industries
Skilled in project management, scheduling, contractor oversight, stakeholder engagement, and budgeting
Confident using CRM and job management platforms (experience with HubSpot is a plus)
Practical, calm leadership style with high ownership and attention to detail
Familiarity with leading OEMs in the solar/battery space
Experience scaling multi-crew operations across metro and regional areas
Deep understanding of WA’s regulatory landscape and utility provider processes
Comfortable working with AS/NZS standards and compliance documentation
