Head of Business Development-Fund Management
The primary purpose of this role will be responsible for raising capital and originating, cultivating, and managing relationships with investors, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, wealth managers and institutional partners.
Role and responsibilities:
- Lead fundraising initiatives for funds and investment vehicles.
- Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on HNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective investors through networking, referrals, and events
- Collaborate with internal investment teams to develop a deep understanding of the firm’s products and effectively communicate this to prospective investors.
- Oversee investor communications, pitch materials, and due diligence processes
- Help shape the firm’s brand and market positioning within the investment community
What you'll need to succeed
- 7+ years of experience in funds management, private wealth, investment banking, or private markets
- Demonstrated track record of raising capital or managing investor relationships in Australia and/or Asia
- Extensive existing network of HNWIs, family offices, and wealth platforms
- Deep understanding of financial products, fund structures, and investor preferences
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work autonomously in a boutique firm environment
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in capital raising, strong strategic relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate fund strategies through compelling and investor-focused narratives.
