Your new role

As Head of Bid & Estimating, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing robust estimates, proposals, and contract change submissions. Reporting to the General Manager Commercial and working closely with senior stakeholders, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of bids and Contract Change Proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and contractual requirements. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams and international partners.

What you'll need to succeed

- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Project Management or similar
- Extensive experience in bid management, business development or commercial leadership roles, ideally within Defence or government contracting
- Proven ability to lead and implement strategic frameworks for estimating and bid management
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contractual, financial, and risk principles
- Expertise in estimating, planning, scheduling, WBS, risk management and EVMS
- Advanced proficiency in pricing tools, ERP systems, EVMS tools, scheduling software, and Microsoft Excel
- Eligibility for or current holder of an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1 or higher)
