Permanent position in a large company working with commercial grounds maintenance, and local council contracts

Your new company

Located in Clayton South, our client is seeking a handyperson to perform reactive maintenance at various sites around the Southeastern suburbs. This is a permanent, field-based position commencing ASAP!

Your new company is a specialist provider of open space grounds, buildings/facilities and infrastructure maintenance services to Government, Local Government and private sector organisations throughout Australia.

Your new role

You will be in required to repair and maintain various facilities in Melbourne and demonstrate a can-do, easy approach to problem-solving in daily life. You will be required to undertake the following, but not limited to:

  • Completing handyperson maintenance works at sites across Melbourne
  • Logging your work on a smartphone device
  • Always working in a safe manner
  • All aspects of general building maintenance
  • Working to a predefined order of locations to be attended throughout the network

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience completing handyperson maintenance work and carpentry skills
  • Current manual driving licence
  • High attention to safe work practices
  • Ability to complete project work on time and under budget
  • Strong customer service and relationship orientation
  • Ability to use smartphones and applications to log work
  • Trade qualifications are highly regarded
