Your new role
As the on-site Handy Person, you’ll be the go-to for all day-to-day maintenance and minor works across the building. Working within a well-run facilities team, you’ll take ownership of site presentation, proactively resolve issues, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and minor works
Responding to reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner
Conducting routine inspections to identify and prevent issues
Supporting contractors on-site and ensuring works are completed to standard
Maintaining strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
This is a hands-on, visible role where your work directly impacts the experience of everyone on site.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in a Handy Person / Maintenance role within commercial buildings, facilities, or similar
Strong all-round building maintenance skills (carpentry, basic plumbing, patching, etc.)
Excellent communication and a customer-first mindset
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site
A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
Trade background (desirable but not essential)
