A well‑established facilities maintenance company are seeking an experienced Carpenter or Handy Person tot work across a commercial portfolio of retail, commercial and industrial sites.
Your new role
As the Maintenance Carpenter or Handy Person, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance, where you will be responsible for the following:
General building and maintenance repairs
Basic carpentry repairs and adjustments
Minor plumbing repairs (non‑licensed works only)
Replacing lamps, light fittings, and fixtures
Painting, patching, and minor finishing works
General site upkeep and defect rectification
Conducting routine preventative maintenance checks
Liaising professionally with on‑site staff and contractors
Completing basic maintenance reporting as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in all‑round maintenance or handyperson roles
Experience working within aged care, healthcare, or commercial facilities (highly regarded)
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Good communication skills and a respectful approach
Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting
A clear criminal history
What you'll get in return
$40 - $43 + super + company vehicle or allowance + overtime
