Your new role
You will be solely responsible for the upkeep of a designated site, handling tasks such as mowing, whipper-snipping, leaf blowing, planting, and pruning a rose garden. This hands-on role demands an ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise tasks effectively. You will mainly work alone but will receive a handover day prior to starting. The position supports the depot group and involves maintaining high presentation standards across the site.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, preferably within mowing or gardening crews
- Ability to work independently, with initiative and a strong work ethic
- Horticultural knowledge and skills
- White card required; a First Aid ticket is an advantage but not essential
- Physical capability for manual tasks and awareness of daily maintenance rituals
- MR desired but not essential
What you'll get in return
- A 9-day fortnight roster, 7:00 AM to 4pm
- 20-minute morning tea and 30-minute lunch break.
- Every second Monday rostered day off
- No expected overtime, unless required
- Opportunity to work independently with future consideration for additional assignments if the fit is right
