A prestigious private school is seeking a dedicated and proactive grounds person to join the team. This is an ongoing role with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Your new role

• Maintain lawns, gardens, sports fields, and landscaped areas to an exceptional standard
• Operate and care for ground equipment including mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and irrigation systems.
• Assist with minor grounds repairs, general outdoor cleaning, and waste management
• Support the preparation and setup of outdoor spaces for school events and activities
• Work collaboratively with the Facilities team to support daily operations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in grounds keeping or landscaping
• Competence in operating grounds maintenance machinery and tools
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Physical capability to undertake manual labour and outdoor work
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining grounds to a high standard
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a school environment
• Blue Card or be able to obtain one
