Global Mobility and Immigration Manager

Rare in-house opportunity for an immigration lawyer with global mobility and team management experience!

An opportunity is available for an experienced Immigration / Global Mobility leader to step into a senior, high‑impact role within a large, complex organisation operating in a global environment.
This role will suit an Immigration Lawyer with global mobility and strong people leadership experience, who enjoys operating as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and leading complex immigration, relocation, and compliance matters.

Your new role

Reporting into a senior talent acquisition leadership team, you will lead a specialist Immigration & Global Mobility function responsible for:

  • End‑to‑end immigration and global mobility advice and delivery

  • Visa strategy, sponsorship compliance, and risk management

  • Relocation and salary packaging advisory (including LAFH matters)

  • Managing and mentoring a team of immigration and mobility specialists

  • Acting as the escalation point for complex and sensitive cases

  • Providing strategic advice to senior leaders and executives

  • Driving continuous improvement across policies, processes, and service delivery

  • Managing external vendors and professional service providers

    This is a hands‑on leadership role with strong strategic exposure, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with advisory and governance responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Australian immigration law expertise (law firm, in-house, or institutional environment)

  • Proven people management experience

  • Global mobility experience

  • Strong knowledge of visa compliance, sponsorship obligations, and risk mitigation

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate legislation into practical solutions.

  • Excellent communication, judgement, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience across relocation and salary packaging highly regarded
