Geospatial Administrator

One APS6 Geospatial Administrator position with a Government Department on an Ongoing S26 Transfer / No-onging

Your new company

You will be working with a Government Department as the APS6 Geospatial Administrator in the Geospatial Data and Analysis Branch. This branch is responsible for leading and managing processing, analysis and/or visualisation of information from a range of sources to produce innovative, digital products.

Your new role

As the APS6 Geospatial Administrator you will be responsible for:
  1. Publishing, managing, and optimizing Spatial Web Services (e.g., map, feature, image, and geoprocessing services) to meet business needs.
  2. Collaborating with business areas to understand requirements and recommend the best service options.
  3. Configuring and optimizing ArcGIS Server settings for performance, scalability, and reliability, including monitoring system health and troubleshooting issues.
  4. Ensuring data integrity, effective backups, and disaster recovery planning in partnership with IT.
  5. Implementing security protocols, access controls, and seamless integration with other systems.
  6. Documenting server configurations, upgrade processes, and service deployment procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will need:

  • R
  • Python
  • ESRI Suites (Arc GIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Map)
  • Background in publishing, managing, and optimizing Spatial Web Services (e.g., map, feature, image, and geoprocessing services) to meet business needs.
You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.
