The organisation combines frontline service delivery with partnerships across industry, training providers and government to create employment pathways and practical training outcomes. MEGT’s head office is located in Ringwood, Victoria and the organisation maintains a network of offices around Australia to provide local access and support.
Your new role
This is a senior executive role responsible for the national strategy, performance, governance and growth of MEGT’s Group Training Organisation (GTO) and labour hire portfolio. The GM provides enterprise-level leadership across all existing and future GTO and workforce solutions entities, ensuring commercial sustainability, regulatory compliance, consistent operating standards and a high-quality customer experience. The role also plays a key part in market growth, acquisitions, partnerships and integration across the Group. This position sits on the Executive Team and contributes to broader organisational strategy and governance.
Reporting to the CEO, the GM will be responsible for:
- Leading the national GTO and labour hire strategy, including expansion, diversification and service model design
- Identify and assess growth opportunities (new markets, acquisitions, partnerships, tenders)
- Strengthening MEGT’s market position as a leading GTO and workforce solutions provider
- Providing national oversight of all GTO and labour hire operations
- Ensuring compliance with National GTO Standards, legislative and contractual requirements
- Maintaining strong relationships with government departments, regulators and industry bodies
What you'll need to succeed
- Senior executive or GM-level experience within Group Training, workforce solutions, VET, employment services and labour hire
- Strong understanding of GTO operations, regulatory frameworks and government-funded programs
- Proven experience leading large, multi-site or national teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills (government, industry, employers)
The successful candidate will be a commercial ‘Head of GTO’, with a strong understanding of labour hire. The ideal candidate is energised from growing the business and determined to make organisational improvements.
