Are you an experienced Pipeline Engineer ready to take on diverse and challenging projects in the gas distribution and transmission sector? We’re seeking a skilled professional to join a dynamic engineering team delivering high-impact infrastructure across Australia.
About the Role
As a Pipeline Engineer, you’ll be responsible for detailed engineering design and project support across a range of gas network and pipeline assets. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet Australian and international standards, while contributing to innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver detailed engineering design for gas distribution and transmission assets
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, and design documentation
- Support concept and front-end engineering design (FEED) phases
- Participate in risk assessments including HAZOPs and safety studies
- Collaborate with procurement and capital delivery teams
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards and procedures
- Travel interstate as required
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Piping, or Pipeline preferred)
- Experience within the design phase of the project is a must.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in gas distribution or transmission
- CPEng and/or RPEQ registration (or eligible within 3 months)
- Strong knowledge of AS4645, ASME B31.3, AS4041, and relevant industry codes
- Experience with pipeline systems including compressor stations, metering, and odourisation
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
