Your New RoleYou will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the fraud team within this Federal Government agency. There will also be a considerable level of contact with both internal and external stakeholders and resolve complex enquiries.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
- Utilising a Certificate IV in Government (Investigation), or its equivalent, as set out in the Public Services Training Package (PSP04) to support the progression of investigations for criminal prosecution.
- Assessing information, analysing documents, data and other information, raising or referring issues, and providing appropriate support to investigators.
- Assisting in preventing inappropriate benefit payments by monitoring, reviewing, checking and reporting to support compliance and mitigate potential risk.
- Conducting telephone and face-to-face enquiries to verify information and data.
- Providing administrative support for the team and/or work area.
- Contributing to accurate and informative reports for investigation cases.
- Using a range of analytical tools and databases, collecting, collating and maintaining data records.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) or equivalent
- Experience in fraud, compliance, or regulatory investigations
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with tools such as Excel, iBase, Altia, and CRM systems
Logistics
- 12-month contract with possibility of extension
- Hourly rate of $43.82 + super
- Flexibility and hybrid working arrangements
- Australian citizenship required
- Available in multiple locations – Deakin ACT, Adelaide SA, Brisbane QLD, Surry Hills NSW, Parramatta NSW, Geelong VIC and Richmond VIC
