Your New Role
As the Forward Works Planner, you will support the planning, development and reporting of Council’s forward capital works program, including Stormwater Levy and Development Contributions (s7.11/s7.12) programs. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to prioritise work, develop long‑term plans, and ensure the smooth delivery of capital projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritising works and monitoring expenditure and outcomes
  • Preparing professional reports, presentations, and grant funding applications
  • Coordinating responses to project‑related correspondence and community enquiries
  • Providing informed advice to senior management on strategic and capital works matters
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Council
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Experience developing strategic plans, policies, or forward works programs.pdf).pdf) [Forward Wo…iption (1) | PDF]
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
  • Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in urban planning, economics, social or environmental policy, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Class C driver’s licence
