Hays has partnered with a leading Steel Manufacturer to find a Forklift Driver!

Your new company

Your new company is a leader in Australia for distribution and manufacturing of quality steel, tube, and pipe product. Due to steady business growth our client is seeking a skilled and experienced warehouse operator to join their dedicated team in the Cairns branch.

Your new role

You will be responsible for receiving and preparing orders for deliveries, moving and organising stock, loading and unloading materials into trucks and vehicles, completing paperwork, safe operation of overhead gantry crane and ensuring a clean and safe warehouse environment.


What you'll need to succeed

You have a strong warehousing, manufacturing or industrial background and a great understanding of safety requirements regarding manual handling and lifting. You are a team player and eager to showcase your skills.

The following skills, tickets and qualifications will also lead to your success in this role:
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg.
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • Knowledge/experience using overhead gantry crane (desirable)
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Transport to warehouse
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol
