Your new company
Our client is a large state government department, specialising in statewide logistical operations. We are seeking a Fleet Controller for an initial 2-month period, with a potential 12-month extension (TBC very soon). The successful candidate will join a collaborative team to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of fleet vehicles at their depot in O’Connor. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, high-quality equipment is available to support disaster relief operations across WA.
Your new role
- Conduct serviceability and equipment control checks on inbound vehicles
- Conduct serviceability checks on outbound vehicles that have been in storage.
- Change Batteries in vehicles
- Conduct minor mechanical repairs
- Drive vehicles to and from service providers
- Wash and detail vehicles
- Run pumps to determine serviceability (training to be provided)
- Fill and drain tanks
- Check hoses for compliance dates and change if required (training to be provided)
- Unload and load trucks with a forklift
- Conduct
- Two–way radio checks

- Refuel vehicles
- Remove decals from vehicles being decommissioned
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum MR manual Licence
- Forklift Licence
Desirable
- Mechanical aptitude / knowledge/experience
- Current or previous knowledge / member of a fire brigade or bushfire brigade unit
What you'll get in return

- 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- $49.30 per hour + 12% super
