We are a leading engineering company in Port Kembla seeking an experienced and skilled Fitter and Turners/Toolmaker to join our team. Successful candidates will have a passion for precision engineering and will be responsible for the design, manufacture, and maintenance of various types of tooling, including press tools and wire cutting machines on medium to heavy engineering work. They will work with a range of machinery and be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and coding machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform precision manual milling, turning, jobbing, boring and drilling tasks on a daily basis.

• Program and set up CNC machines to required specifications along with working from design spec drawings

• Manufacture tools using a variety of machinery, including sample trials.

• Conduct dimensional inspection and maintain correct orientation of products.

• Take full responsibility for setting up, maintaining, and coding machinery.

Skills and Experience:

• Cert III in Engineering with Fitter and Turner/Toolmaker Trade Qualifications.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a toolmaker position, working with CNC vertical & horizontal borers and or manual machines

• Previous experience working with press tools, CNC or manual machining, fitting and overhauls, and fabrication/specialist welding.

• Ability to operate manual machines, including mills, lathes, drills, and saws.
