Hays Recruitment has partnered with a well-known manufacturing organisation based in Bendigo, that are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, with the view to progress to a CFO role in the future, the role is critical in shaping the financial strategy of the company, ensuring strong financial management, and driving sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and a passion for the manufacturing industry.

Your new role

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability.

  • Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • CPA or CA or working towards is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach

What you'll get in return

The role offers a salary range of $140-175K Plus Super. Depending on experience, the role is open to experienced Senior Finance Managers that want to progress into a CFO role in the future, as well as the above this position offers WFH flexibility, and excellent culture and security in a company that is going through a growth stage.
