Hays has partnered with a local council to recruit a Financial and Banking Analyst to join their team on an initial 6-month contract with possible extension.
Your new role
Your new role plays a crucial part in managing the organisation's banking and payment activities.
Some key responsibilities may include:
Support organisation-wide banking and payment management including:
- Resolving banking and payment issues and developing process improvements
- Providing expert advice and guidance to revenue, banking and payment channel projects
- Providing advice and guidance to the business on revenue channels, systems and processes
- Managing banking and payment channel contracts, including contract variations and extensions.
- Assisting in the identification and implementation of new banking and payment products and services to enhance efficiency and improve customer outcomes.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including financial service providers
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of managing banking relationships to meet client needs, including an in-depth understanding of banking and payment platforms, preferably within a corporate treasury environment
Ability to work on your own initiative to research and understand complex issues and recommend solutions to senior stakeholders
Proven ability to proactively engage with and manage internal and external relationships, including banking counterparties.
Experience in the management, negotiation, administration and resolution of issues in large contracts
Strong commercial acumen to support highly sensitive, business-critical initiatives
Ability to evaluate proposals using financial modelling and analysis techniques, including business models, Excel and SAP capabilities is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
High-level organisational skills to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a very fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Ability to contribute to team direction, provide and receive feedback, and achieve performance standards to foster a culture of excellence.
