Your new role

As a Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Prepares and lodges taxation returns, provides taxation advice, and ensures compliance with accounts processing.
• Assists in preparing financial statements, end-of-month/year journals, reconciliations, and reports.
• Calculates and processes fringe benefits taxation and manages related controls.
• Supports financial analysis and accounting reporting obligations as needed.
• Upholds departmental values, ensures excellent service delivery, and seeks continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates dedication to professionalism, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work within a team.
• Sound numerical and analytical skills.
• Willingness to undergo an international police check (if not an Australian Citizen)
• Strong background in finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in management or leadership roles.
• Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
