Your new role
As the Finance and Business Partnership Manager, you will lead a high-performing finance team and play a key role in driving financial and project performance across the organisation. Reporting to the General Manager – Business and Governance Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Delivering accurate and timely project performance insights to senior leadership and the Board
- Supporting the implementation of improved financial and project management systems
- Providing strategic advice on compliance, risk, and investment opportunities
- Managing and mentoring a team of three direct reports
- Representing the organisation in key stakeholder forums and partnerships
This is a strategic leadership role with a strong operational focus, offering the opportunity to influence outcomes that benefit both the environment and the community.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/IPA membership highly regarded)
- Proven experience in financial leadership, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector
- Strong project management and reporting capabilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development and continuous improvement
- A commitment to public sector values and inclusive workplace culture
