Your new role
As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance across the business. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing month-end financial reporting and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting audit processes
- Managing compliance reporting including tax obligations and regulatory filings
- Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Supporting system upgrades and process improvements across finance platforms
- Mentoring a team of three transactional finance staff members on site
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong foundation in accounting, tax and fixed assets and inventory costing, along with a proactive mindset and excellent communication skills.
You’ll need:
- CA, CPA or CIMA membership (ideal but not essential)
- 5+ years of experience in finance within a fast-moving commercial industry
- Deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax legislation
- Strong skills in financial consolidation and tax return preparation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to a large-scale ERP
- Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Experience with derivative products and treasury functions is highly desirable
- Business partnering and key stakeholder relationship management skills
