Hays are proud to partner with Timberlands Pacific (TPPL) in their search for a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. TPPL manage large plantation forests across 3 Australian states, producing forest products for both domestic and international markets.

Your new role
Based in the Launceston CBD, you’ll be reporting into the CFO and working closely with the broader Finance team. As a senior member of the Finance team, this role presents an opportunity to be the conduit between Operations and Finance and plays an integral role in supporting stakeholders to make good commercial decisions as well as delivering crucial reporting.
Reporting into the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for key internal and external stakeholders
- High quality Financial Governance and Analysis, including price, volume and product mix
- Preparation of Annual Budgets and regular forecasting (monthly)
- Continual Improvement of Financial Systems and Project work as required
What you'll need to succeed
CA/CPA qualified, you’ll be outcome focused and have the proven ability to consistently meet tight deadlines. You’ll have well developed communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mindset which lends itself to problem solving. A high-level proficiency in Excel is also essential, and you’ll enjoy problem solving with key stakeholders right across the organisation. This is an excellent role for someone looking for their first role in industry out of public practice, or their second role within industry.
