We’re looking for experienced and passionate Chefs to join our casual pool and support a range of high ‑ quality sites across Western Australia.

Your New Company

Hays Recruitment partners with several leading catering and accommodation providers operating throughout WA’s mining and resources sector. You’ll be working with teams known for their strong safety culture, professionalism, and commitment to delivering excellent food service.

Your New Role

You must be a Trade ‑ Qualified Chef with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). These positions involve bulk catering and require flexibility to work both day and night shifts across mining villages in the Pilbara and Goldfields.

Rosters are typically 2:1 or 1:1 , with 10–12 hour shifts .

All roles fly in and out of Perth , so you must be based in WA and ready to mobilise quickly.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Chefs with bulk catering experience—whether FIFO or metro—are encouraged to apply.

You will also need:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance (paid by Hays)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Ability to complete all required site inductions
  • Two recent, contactable references
  • Ability to pass a pre ‑ employment medical, including fitness and ongoing drug & alcohol testing
  • WA residency and availability to FIFO from Perth Airport
