Your new company
Based in the South-East, this leading fit-out company is seeking an experienced Factory Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis, to aid in delivering a high quality and comprehensive portfolio of full design and build services to their customers. Specialising in commercial projects, they have an established end-to-end delivery service, coupled with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to produce high quality joinery. With over 25 years' experience within the Shopfitting and Joinery industry, they've built their reputation as an industry leader, and as a major player in the fit-out of the retail, hospitality, beauty, hotel, leisure and recreation fields. With a strong pipeline of projects in store for 2026, and consistent workflow, they need someone to jump on board and hit the ground running!
Your new role
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Oversee all joinery jobs on the factory floor, ensuring each project, from cutting and machinery through to assembly and finishing, meets delivery deadlines.
- Review and prioritise job tasks, assigning work to cabinet makers, assemblers and machinists, based on skill level and current production requirements.
- Monitor progress across all stages of joinery production, including CNC routing, panel cutting, edge banding, assembly, and hand-finishing, reporting of any updates or delays.
- Lead and support a team of approximately 20 people, maintaining workflow, resolving issues on the floor, and upholding high quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks on joinery components and finished products, ensuring work complies with plans, drawings, and customer specifications, addressing defects promptly.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment such as CNC, panel saws, sanders, and assembly tools and arrange maintenance or repairs as required.
- Monitor material usage, and liaise with stores or procurement for replenishment.
- Support onboarding and training for new employees, including safe machinery operation, factory processes, and outlining quality expectations.
- Promote a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment, enforcing PPE requirements and assisting with safety inspections and incident reporting.
What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful you must display:
- Proven experience as a Factory Supervisor (ideally in the Commercial Joinery/Shopfitting Industry).
- Background as a qualified carpenter/joiner is highly beneficial.
- Have a strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and construction methods with an ability to read and understand shop drawings.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- The ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills.
